Find an Item
How do I search for items by keywords?
You can search for items using keywords in two ways.
At the top of every page on the website, you will see a search box with two radio options below – TechMatrix and Website. Enter a keyword in the search text box, select the TechMatrix radio option and hit the Search button.
Once you are on the Search page, you can view the search results of items for different item types (such as Products, Research, Websites, or Infobriefs).
There is another way to search for items by keywords. Click on the Search link in the menu. Once you’re on the Search page, you will see a blue box on the left with a search text box and categories below it.
1. Enter the keywords here and hit the Go button.
How do I search for items by categories?
2. Select one or more category options. Some categories may be collapsed. Expand these categories to select category options as desired.
3. To choose from the entire list of categories, click on the Select Accessibility Features, Select National Education Standards and Select Tech Specs links. You will see an expanded list of categories to choose from.
4. Once you have made your selection, hit the Go button in the left blue panel.
How do I sort product search results?
Once you run a search and view Product results, you can sort the results by Product Name, Product Cost Range or by Publisher of the Product. By default the results sort in ascending order. Clicking the same sort option will return the search results in descending order.
How do I view all the search results of an item type?
Once you run a search, the search results returned might contain many items for an item type. If the result count is large, the results are paginated. You can use the previous and next arrows to navigate between the different pages of search results for an item type.

How do I generate a product Matrix?
Once you run a search and view product results, you can select one or more products. Product results could span more than a single page. You can navigate across other results and make product selections. Once you have made all selections, click on 
at the top of the page to compare the selected products. This will bring up the Matrix.

Customize a Matrix
How do I scroll through all the features and all the products of a Matrix?
- Click the Optimize Matrix View button to optmize the Matrix view.
- To scroll through the products, click the arrows on the top right of the Matrix or use the scrollbar at the bottom of the Matrix. (Note: these elements won't appear on the page if all the products of your Matrix can be displayed on your screen.)
- To scroll through the features use the scrollbar on the right side of the Matrix.
How do I add or remove products and features from a Matrix?
Once you have created a matrix, you can still add or remove products and features from the ones that are displayed.
To remove a product from the matrix you are viewing, click the "x", or close button in the product's heading.
To remove a feature from the matrix you are viewing, click the "x", or close button in the feature's heading.
Using the Display/Hide Features and Display/Hide Products buttons, you can restore features or products that you have already removed from a matrix, or add new ones to review.
